Eldonian Community Trust Announces 2026 Annual General Meeting

The Board of Trustees is pleased to announce that the Charity’s 2026 Annual General Meeting (“AGM”) will take place on Thursday 11 June 2026 at 7:00pm at Our Lady of Reconciliation de la Salette Church, Eldon Street, Liverpool, L3 6BR.

The Annual General Meeting forms an important part of the Charity’s governance and democratic process, providing members with the opportunity to receive reports on the work and progress of the Trust, consider the Charity’s financial position for the year ended 29 March 2025, and participate in the election of members to the Executive Committee.

The Board hopes that members will attend and take part in what remains an important moment for the Charity as it continues its work to strengthen governance, rebuild community confidence, and support the long-term future of the Eldonian community.

In accordance with the Articles of Association, members will be asked to receive and consider the income and expenditure account and balance sheet for the financial year ended 29 March 2025 together with the reports of the Board of Trustees. Members will also be invited to elect members of the Executive Committee and transact such other business as may properly come before the meeting in accordance with the Charity’s governing document.

Members who wish to stand for election to the Executive Committee are reminded that nominations must be submitted in writing, proposed and seconded by members entitled to vote at the AGM, and accompanied by the written consent of the nominee to act if elected. All nominees must be eligible to act as charity trustees under the Charities Act 2011. Completed nominations must be received by the Secretary no later than 12 noon on Tuesday 2 June 2026.

Members unable to attend in person may appoint a proxy to attend and vote on their behalf. Proxy forms will be circulated following the close of nominations on Thursday 4 June 2026 and must be returned in accordance with the requirements set out in the Articles of Association no later than 7:00pm on Tuesday 9 June 2026.
