Eldonian Community Trust Meets with Kim Johnson MP and Charity Commission Chief Executive in Parliament

Representatives of the Eldonian Community Trust were at Parliament today for a meeting with Kim Johnson MP and David Holdsworth, Chief Executive of the Charity Commission for England and Wales.

The Trust was represented by Maureen Price, Chair, and Rhys Jones, Secretary.

It was an invaluable opportunity to talk about the work of the Trust and its commitment to serving the community, as well as the importance of strong governance, accountability and ensuring the Charity is in the best possible position to serve local residents.

The discussions also covered some of the challenges the Trust has faced and the work being undertaken by the current Board of Trustees to strengthen the Charity and to build a positive future for community we were established to serve.

A commitment to the Vauxhall community

The Eldonian Community Trust has a long history of supporting the Vauxhall community and remains committed to ensuring that its work continues to have a positive impact on local residents.

Under the current Board, the Charity is focused on working with the Charity Commission and ensuring that it operates openly, responsibly and in the best interests of the community it was established to serve.

Meeting with both Kim Johnson MP and the Chief Executive of the Charity Commission was a valuable opportunity to discuss these priorities directly and to have an open conversation about the future of the Trust.

The Board remains determined to build on the progress already made and to ensure that the Eldonian Community Trust continues to play a positive role in the community for years to come.
