Dear Residents,
I would like to share a brief but important message following today’s coverage in The Guardian about the Eldonian Community Trust.
The article has shone a thoughtful and much-needed light on the challenges our community has faced in recent years. Many residents have felt unheard for far too long, and responsible reporting plays an essential role in ensuring that those experiences are recognised. We are grateful to The Guardian for taking the time to engage with the facts and for reflecting the concerns raised by local people.
As your newly appointed Board of Trustees, we remain firmly committed to transparency, good governance, and restoring confidence in the Charity. Our focus now is on rebuilding what has been lost, recovering community assets where we are able to do so, and ensuring that the Eldonian Village can once again reflect the spirit of solidarity and hope on which it was founded.
We welcome the public interest in the work now underway and will continue to approach our responsibilities with openness and determination. Rebuilding trust takes time, but the progress already being made reflects the strength and resilience of the Eldonian community. Thank you for your continued support.

Kind Regards,
